In the wake of the United States spying on European leaders “scandal”, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper told the House Intelligence Committee that clandestine monitoring of world leaders has been going on forever and was one of the first things he learned in his 50-year career.
I especially like that he dropped a Casablanca reference in his remarks on the world’s reaction: “My God, there’s gambling going on here!”
Spy chief James Clapper…I’ll bet he’s got a secret, fancy way of turning the lights on and off in his house.
